Another one of my favorite tunes of the year comes from Diplo, in collaboration with Danish singer MO. Not only does the mid-tempo tune have a nice sound, the message is oh so important and one which I hope...I believe I did this year! Here's Get It Right...
The first single off of MO's second album, Forever Neverland, is a collaboration with superstar deejay/producer Diplo and it's got a nice, chill vibe to it. Check out Sun In Our Eyes...
At first, I didn't think there would be enough new songs worthy of a spotlight here to make five, but as I re-listened to this week's new music tracks I found that there were, only not my usual dance fare. Check out this week's new music tracks...
Zero - Imagine Dragons
Rockers Imagine Dragons have released a very likable song from the closing credits of the upcoming Disney film Ralph Breaks the Internet. Check out the cool lyric video for Zero...
Lento - Rudy Mancuso
Though I've never heard of actor, musician and Internet personality Rudy Mancuso, he's apparently pretty popular. The 26 year-old has a new song and video out that's pretty smooth, featuring lento, or slow, Latin/Brazilian sounds, and the video is pretty entertaining, too! Check out Lento...
Imaginary Friend - MO
I am loving everything Danish singer/songwriter MO does, and this one's a little more sultry than what she usually puts out, but it's really good, nonetheless. Check out Imaginary Friend...
Naturally Pretty Girls - Elle King
Singer Elle King is really coming into a steady roll with her newest, the follow-up to the sassy Shame. Here she uses her words to show us just what she thinks of Naturally Pretty Girls. Check it out...
Over You - Macy Gray
I've always loved Macy Gray, so I was very excited to see she put out a new album, and on this song she sounds just as good as ever. Unfortunately there is not even a lyric video for the tune, but you can check it out on Spotify.
Here are this week's honorable mentions...
Bottled Up - Dinah Jane, Ty Dolla $ign, Mark E. Bassy
This Feeling - The Chainsmokers, Kelsea Ballerini
Let You Love Me - Rita Ora
Roll With Me - Bantu, Jonas Blue, Shungudzo, ZieZie
Head Above Water - Avril Lavigne
Venice Bitch - Lana Del Ray
Back Together - Loote
Punches - Noah Cyrus, LP
If I'm Gone Tomorrow (It's Because of Aliens) - MUNYA
Out of the many new songs released this week, I only bookmarked eight, probably the lowest ever. No big names, not a lot of dance stuff, not much at all. In fact as I went through the listing of 100+ tracks, I was hitting the next button very quickly and often. That being said, only two of the eight new music tunes released this week are truly worthy of a spotlight, so for what it's worth, check em out...
Drunk and I Miss You - KIDDO, Decco
One of the better tunes I bookmarked this week is this pop/rockish song that's pretty catchy and has a nice groove, as well. Check out Drunk and I Miss You...
Way Down - MO
I've loved virtually everything Danish singer MO has put out and this one is fast and very funky. Check out Way Out...
Though I've only spotlighted two songs this week, there are others, of course, that are worthy of attention. Here are this week's honorable mentions..
Just Got Paid - Segala, Ella Eyre, Meghan Trainor, French Montana
This will be the last New Music Fridays for a couple of weeks as I jet off to Switzerland for a much needed vacation. Though there weren't many songs I bookmarked for the week, the ones I did are all fantastic, so check em out...
Satisfied - Galantis, Max
I am loving Swedish electronic dance masters Galantis more and more with every new release they make, and this week they've put out two new songs, Mama Look At Me Now, and this one, a funky, easily likable neo-discoish dance jam. Satisfied is a perfect summer jam, so check it out...
Only Love - Mary J. Blige
In the week's nicest surprise, Mary J. Blige is back with a new song and she sounds as good as ever. Only Love is an up tempo, funky dance gem and I am loving it! Check it out...
Sun In Our Eyes - MO, Diplo
Danish singer MO, whose voice is perfect for pop/dance music, has released a new song together with superstar deejay/producer Diplo and it is a winner! The tune is from the singer's upcoming sophomore album due out in October. Check out Sun In Our Eyes...

Hello and welcome back to New Music Fridays, a weekly look at some of the best in new music releases of the week. As always, we've got some nice pop sensations and tasty beats to whet your musical whistle, so without further adieu...
Girls - Rita Ora, Bebe Rexha, Charli XCX, Cardi B
One of the most talked-about songs of the week is this one by Rita Ora, featuring Bebe Rexha, Charli XCX and Cardi B. First of all, musically the song is catchy and pleasing, and of course the bisexual themes are going to be controversial. Singer Hayley Kiyoko, who put out her own song about bisexual issues, spoke out against the song as being one that works to fuel the male gaze while marginalizing the idea of women loving women. Perhaps! Ora addressed the criticism here, and in the meantime here's Girls...
Back to You - Selena Gomez
The Netflix Original Series 13 Reasons Why has returned for a second season and Selena Gomez recorded a sweet, sweet song for its' soundtrack, with softly sung verses and an uplifting chorus. Check out the ear-pleasing Back to You...
Fun - Kaskade, BROHUG, Mr. Tape, Madge
If you like funky, mindless dance jams like I do, then you're going to love this fun beat bopping jam. Check out Fun...
Stay Open - Diplo, MO
Diplo released two new songs this week, one with Sia and Labrinth, and this one with Danish singer MO (one of these days I'll learn to get that "O" right!). Though they're both nice tunes, I tend to find this one a little more pleasing. Stay Open has got a nice sound to it, nice bright beats and very dancey. Check it out...
Bad Decision - Chromeo
Canadian duo Chromeo brings us a funky, neo-disco jam that's instantly likable, Check out Bad Decision...

Get It Right - Diplo, feat. MO
Diplo's new Get It Right is a brand new dancey collaboration with Danish singer MO. The tune is from an upcoming documentary, Give Me Future, which is all about Diplo's historic shows in Cuba alongside Major Lazer. Check out this very nice tune...
The Beautiful & Damned - G-Eazy, Zoe Nash
Maybe it's my age, but I really don't find a lot to like about today's hip hop or rap music, whatever it's called these days, but here's one I can sink my teeth into. I know why, too. It's not the rap part of this tune that makes me move when I listen, but the raspy vocals of one Ms. Zoe Nash, whose part gives the track a really nice groove. Check out The Beautiful & Damned...
Pineapple Skies - Miguel
I am loving R&B artist Miguel. It seems like whenever he puts out a new tune, I am posting it here. His latest, Pineapple Skies is a groovalicious, easy breezy, soulful jam. Check it out...
All Night - Steve Aoki, Lauren Jauregui
On the softer side of the dance music scene comes this very likable dance jam by superstar deejay/producer Steve Aoki, featuring sweet-voiced singer Lauren Jauregui. Check out All Night...
Obsessed - Maggie Lindemann
You might remember singer Maggie Lindemann from her spot on The Vamps' Personal. Well, she's got a brand new track that's both dance floor and radio friendly. Check out Obsessed...
Well, these are my picks for the best new music tracks of the week. Stay tuned for more New Music Fridays and in the meantime check out these honorable mentions...
Good morning and Happy Saturday! Here's a song I highlighted on October 27th's New Music Fridays. It's by an artist called either MO or MOMOMOYOUTH??? Hard to find much of her, and that's probably because it's not really an "O" in her name, but a foreign character to which I can't figure out how to post. Either way, the song is very dancey, and in a Euro style. Very cool and catchy track! Check out When I Was Young...
