Song of the Day - La Vita Ê - Nek

Image result for la vita e nek

Well, this will be the last Song of the Day post for the next 12 days or so as I head out to Europe.  A group of us from school are heading to England, France, Switzerland and Italy and since I posted songs from England and France already, and I don't know any music from Switzerland, I thought I'd post a song from the country of my heritage, Italia.  Nek is one of the very first Italian singers I discovered along the years...I'd categorize him as pop-rock...and this is his first song of his I discovered, and it's still my favorite.  Check out La Vita Ê (Life Is)...

Song of the Day - When I Was Young - MO

Image result for when i was young momomoyouth

Good morning and Happy Saturday!  Here's a song I highlighted on October 27th's New Music Fridays.  It's by an artist called either MO or MOMOMOYOUTH???  Hard to find much of her, and that's probably because it's not really an "O" in her name, but a foreign character to which I can't figure out how to post.  Either way, the song is very dancey, and in a Euro style.  Very cool and catchy track!  Check out When I Was Young...

Song of the Day - One Thing - One Direction

Image result for one direction one thing

London, England.  That's where I will be come Friday.  I can't wait!  Anyway, as for a song representing the good ole U.K., here's another short-lived boy band that was really hot just a couple of years ago.  I was listening to that same Current Faves playlist I've been talking about lately, and me n my pal Kyle couldn't help but sing along to this sugary pop tune.  Eh, what can I say?  It's fun!

Song of the Day - Let's Get French - Coco McQueen

I'm off to Europe this Thursday for 12 days with my school, and so you can expect some Euro-themed music for the next four days.  First up is a recent release that I found on Spotify...it's pure Euro pop/dance music, catchy and very, well, French.  Although I won't be visiting France this time round, it's still Europe, so check out Let's Get French...

Song of the Day - No Money - Galantis

Here's a bit of Euro pop dance stuff for you.  It's from Swedish production team Galantis and you may know them from their previous hit Peanut Butter Jelly.  Yeah, this one's as silly as that one was, but kinda catchy and fun, too!  Check out No Money...

Song of the Day - Alors On Danse - Stromae

This morning, the French teacher at school came into my classroom looking for a chaperone to accompany her class to a concert at MSG tonight.  Oh, it's a big deal, she said.  He is the first French speaking singer to ever headline at Madison Square Garden.  Well of course this music aficionado's ears perked up.  This guy's one of the hottest singers in Europe right now.  He's Belgian...

Is his name Stromae? I asked.

How did you know?

Of course I knew!  Those of you who know me through this blog should know that I knew.  I actually posted a Stromae tune a few months back.  I've got a couple of his tracks on dance mixes and I love em.  Ooh, it would be very cool to go to the show, but unfortunately I can't make it tonight.  Anyway, I can still share his latest, and if you like Euro dance music, check out Alors On Danse...cool!

Song of the Day - Papaotai - Stromae

In anticipation of my upcoming trip to Europe, I wanted to spend my last couple Song of the Day posts featuring at least some European music.  Here's a tune by Belgian deejay/producer Stromae last May.  The song, whose title means, "dad, where are you?," is sung in French and was an international dance smash just last year.
