Song of the Day - Avec You - Fever High

Here's a recent discovery by a duo who cal themselves Fever High,  The French-inspired song is slightly reminiscent of Icona Pop, though the lyrics are what Atwood Magazine's Remy Holwick calls 'Franglais.'  The sound of the tune is irresistible and well, you just have to check it out.  Here's Avec You (With You)...

Sofi Tukker is a New York-based duo consisting of Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern and I discovered this French-inspired gem during my latest rampage on Spotify.   The song Johny has got a neat and thumping guitar/bass track and the vocals are very reminiscent of what I'd think you might hear in a club in Paris.  Very cool...

Flashback Friday Song of the Day - You Promised Me - In-grid

Over the years there have been several little mini-waves of Euro dance music to hit the charts here in the United States and Italian singer Ingrid's You Promised Me was always one of my favorites. With a steady, pulsating beat accompanied by the accordion and the singers accented English vocals, this one sort of makes you feel like you're in a piazza in Rome dancing up a storm with a beautiful lady.  Anyway, check out You Promised Me and then go out and have a great Friday...
