Since Cher Lloyd is back with a brand new song, None of My Business, I started playing this one in my head, which I haven't heard in a long time. Now it's funny, but I don't know the tune originally from Lloyd, but from former YouTuber Alex Constacio, who once lip-synced the song on speed, and quite well I might add.  Gonna post both for you so you can see what I mean...

This time for Africa

One of my favorite songs of all time reached a huge milestone the other day, and I mean huge. On Monday, Shakira's theme song for the 2010 World Cup, Waka Waka, reached the exclusive milestone of one billion page views on YouTube, putting the Colombian singer in company with Adele's Hello, Psy's Gangnam Style, Justin Bieber's Baby, and Wiz Khalifa's See You Again (The Citizen).  The uplifting and fun song brings me back to my Saturday nights at Splash a few years back, and so this news gets a resounding YES from me.  Check out Waka Waka...

Song of the Day - All I Want for Christmas - Chase Holfelder & Kurt Hugo Schneider

Okay, so Christmas is less than two weeks away and I haven't posted on Christmas song yet...until now.  My pal Manny stopped by for a visit last night and he shared with me one of the most unique Christmas covers ever.  The singer is one Chase Holfelder, and he's made waves before covering tunes by Cyndi Lauper, Taylor Swift, Adele and many others, turning their famous songs into whole new ones by singing them in a minor, or sadder, key.  It's really incredible to listen to!  Here he turns Marih Carey's all time happy Christmas favorite into a sort of grungy, dark song, and it works! Check out the most unique rendition of All I Want for Christmas...ever!
