There's something about this song that's just so likable to me. Between the African/Island-flavored rhythms and vocals and its beautiful message, to me it is one perfect song for utopia! Check out Rudimental and Toast To Our Differences...
For any of you wondering whatever happened to Latin rap sensation Pitbull, well he's still around and he's still sounding like he always did. With a thumping back beat, catchy lyrics and Pit's signature voice, I totally jam out whenever I hear this one. I think the only reason this song wasn't a big hit is because people were just over the sound of Pitbull, but hey, he's still got it! Check out Muevelo Loca Boom Boom...
This pop-dance tune by pop-dance masters Jonas Blue has been growing on me ever since I bookmarked it back in November and I think now it's time for a share. Here's Wherever You Go...
We're in the throws of winter and I think we could all use a little reminder of the warm summer nights with this catchy, happy tune. Check out Sunrise...
Heard this song the other day and thought I'd share it. Like almost anything Adele sings, this one's so beautiful! By the way, where the heck has she been? Here's When We Were Young...
Two of my favorite young singers of the day have teamed up for a catchy new track that you're gonna love. Check out Troye Sivan with Lauv on I'm So Tired...
I mentioned before that watching old episodes of MTV's The Real World has brought back so many memories, not only of the show, but musically as well. Here's a classic alternative track by a classic Alternative band, Smashing Pumpkins. Here's Today...
Well that was a quick Hump Day, wasn't it? Yeah, short weeks are always nice, and being on the downside towards another weekend is also promising. Here's a pulsating house jam straight from Ibiza. It's CamelPhat and Breathe,,,
It's Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and of course the theme for the day is freedom. Now there are plenty of songs out there eschewing the concepts of freedom, and I'm choosing a lesser-known song by the Pointer Sisters, from their 1985 album Contact. It's a beautiful song and I hope you'll check it out. Here's Freedom...
Good morning and Happy Saturday! I almost always love everything Swiss dance masters Galantis put out, and this one took me awhile, but the groovy neo-disco sounds eventually got me. Check out Emoji...
One of the best songs to come out of Prince's Graffiti Bridge, the "sequel" to the hugely successful Purple Rain, was not a Prince song, but this funky little ditty by a young singer by the name of Tevin Campbell. Here's Round and Round...
Hooray for Hump Day...always a great day for a nice dance jam, which describes today's song, a thumping, hypnotic house track that'd have me on the dance floor in no time! Check out Dangerous...
Here's a nice, chill house jam by Aussie singer Hayden James that hearkens the warm days and balmy evenings of summer. Ooh, if only! Here's Better Together...
Been rewatching old MTV's Real World episodes from the early 90's and I'm reliving not only memories of the show, but memories of some great music. Here's one I heard from the show's second season in LA...a high energy jam called The Hitman...
Good morning and Happy Saturday! For those of you who may not have noticed, Mariah Carey's got a new record out, and as much as I expected to not like it, I actually kinda do. Here's the first single off of Caution...GTFO...
Gnarls Barkley. I've been revisiting my old faves of late and when I decided to share of of their tunes, I chose one with one of my favorite lines from any song anywhere! Oh how I wish these guys would do another project. Here's Going On...
I don't know what took me so long to post this neo-disco gem. Oh yeah, Brit singer Olly murs is bringing the Moves with this very ear-pleasing jam, and he's got a little help from none other than Snoop Dogg. Check out Moves...
Here's a nice, catchy, high energy tune by Swedish duo NOTD, with a little help from some friends. Like yesterday's song, this one took me awhile to get into, but once I did...yeah! Here's So Close...
This tune, by Australian indie pop band Glades, was one I had bookmarked back when it was first released a few weeks ago, but the quality of it really hit me just the other day. Check out Nervous Energy...
Here's a recent release by Norwegian singer Sigrid, one that I've been thinking about sharing for awhile now. Sucker Punch is a pleasant, catchy tune that remains on the brain long after a listen. Check it out...
It's really hard to believe, but in just a couple of months this song that put Ricky Martin on everyone's radar will be 20 years old. Ugh, I feel old! Here's Living La Vida Loca...
In case you haven't heard the news, I am sorry to be the one breaking it to you, but Daryl Dragon, the "Captain" in the pop duo Captain & Tenille, passed away late yesterday at the age of 76. I never thought I'd be posting one of their songs here, but they were undeniably a part of my musical youth. Who remembers, but I probably even had one or two of their albums back in the 70's when they were popular and I was a pre-teen. Their songs were everywhere back then and if you were around at the time, you surely remember pop ditties like Shop Around, Muskrat Love, Do That To Me One More Time, and this one, their first big hit which earned them a Grammy back in 75. Here's the still so catchy Love Will Keep Us Together...
Well, hey, good morning! It's the first hump day of the year, and for a lot of us, it'll be a nice, short week. Here's a song by one of my favorite dance artists, Louis the Child, and like the song says, I'm feelin' it! Here's Love Is Alive...
Happy New Year everybody! You know today is the day everybody makes all these crazy resolutions that they'll break within a couple of weeks, which is kind of stupid! My only resolution, like it always is, is to just be happy! Here's Mary...
