Song of the Day - Freedom - The Pointer Sisters

It's Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and of course the theme for the day is freedom.  Now there are plenty of songs out there eschewing the concepts of freedom, and I'm choosing a lesser-known song by the Pointer Sisters, from their 1985 album Contact.  It's a beautiful song and I hope you'll check it out.  Here's Freedom...

The Pointer Sisters are one of my favorite musical acts of all time.  The threesome of June, Ruth and Anita were really something special back in their day, churning out hit after hit after hit in the 70's and 80's.  This one came at the pinnacle of their success in 1985 off their platinum Contact album.  Here's Dare Me...
