I know things have been crazy these past few weeks and I think it's going to get even crazier in the coming weeks.  Though not everyone is taking this coronavirus seriously enough, there are plenty of others who are taking it too seriously.  As for me, I'm just going to go with the flow, stay as safe as I can, and have a little faith that in the end its all going to be alright.  Fingers crossed!

Song of the Day - Islands In the Stream - Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers

I am back from Cali and just caught up on the latest episode of The Handmaids Tale, which very interestingly shared the story of Aunt Lydia before the dawn of Gilead.  Turns out she was a schoolteacher and in an odd way, a caring person.  For a moment there, it seemed as if the matronly leader of the handmaids, equally matronly before, was about to fall in love after a magical New Year's Eve with a gentleman.  That ended in disaster, but not before an odd karaoke version of this Dolly Parton/Kenny Rogers classic.  Here's Islands In the Stream...

Song of the Day - Jolene - Miley Cyrus

I was going through some saved links and I came across this one from way back and I must've saved it for a reason, probably to post it here.  Apparently, in 2012, Miley posted some videos of herself performing several cover tunes from her own backyard and called it...what else?  The Backyard Sessions.  Here the young singer covers a 1973 hit of her godmother's, Dolly Parton's fabulous Jolene.  Enjoy!
