Song of the Day - Sunshine - POWER, The Knocks

One day before the official first day of fall we have summer befitting midsummer.  Well, here's a sunshiney chill jam by POWERS and The Knocks that is very befitting this beautiful day.  Here's Sunshine...

Flashback Friday Song of the Day - Malibu - Miley Cyrus

Our first Flashback Friday of summer jams isn't really a jam, but definitely a summer song.  Haven't heard this one in awhile.  Here's Miley and Malibu...

Song of the Day - In and Out - Beth Ditto

Here's another one of those songs from last summer that I mentioned yesterday.  I'd never heard of Beth Ditto before I heard this song (I sooo should have!), and I'm so glad I found her because I think this song is just, well, the cat's meow!  Check out In and Out...

Song of the Day - Swish Swish - Katy Perry, feat. Nicki Minaj

Spotify did this crazy amazing thing.  They created a playlist especially for me called Summer Rewind, and it's full of songs I played all summer long last year.  A lot of those songs were played and enjoyed by me and my friends on our wonderful Roller Coaster Road Trip, and one of the songs we listened to the most was this, Katy Perry's fun Swish Swish...

Song of the Day - Sunny Days - Bel Heir

pastemagazine

I don't normally post tunes on the rockish side of things, but here's a summertime gem from a trio that call themselves Bel Heir.  Paste Magazine says it hearkens a ride down a winding California road on a sunny day.  Yeah, that's exactly what this is.  Check out Sunny Days...

Song of the Day - Sunshine (The Knocks Remix) - Powers

Sunshine is gonna come now, rain down

All over you

Sunshine is gonna come now, rain down

All over you

Good times are gonna come now, look 'round

Baby it's true

I just love a happy, inspirational, chill tune!  This remix of Powers' Sunshine is exactly that, very chill, with a melody that's very uplifting, and of course, sunshiney!  Check it out...

Song of the Day - Waiting On the Summer - VHS Collection

Okay, so I don't know anything about this song other than the fact that I found it on Spotify and that this is a somewhat newish remix of a song that had been released already some time ago.  I do know that I really really like it, though.  It's a nice, feel-good tune that hearkens, of course, to summer, which is just around the corner.  Enjoy...

Summer Jams Song of the Day - California Gurls - Katy Perry, with Snoop Dogg

No summer jams playlist would be complete without this now-classic tune by Katy Perry.  Enjoy and Happy Hump Day!

Flashback Friday Summer Jam Song of the Day - Sun Is Up - Inna

Today we flashback five years, back to 2010 and this very summery dance tune by Romanian dance diva Inna.  I remember discovering her through an Ultra Records dance compilation and I found my self playing this one out in no time, along with another Inna smash, Left Right.  Both songs blend perfectly with a day at the beach, and so if that's where you're headed today, you should definitely take this one with you...

Song of the Day - Cheerleader - OMI

Well, vacation is over and I am slowly trying to get back into the grind after an awesome trip to Europe for the past 12 days.  I think it's time to get back to business with a song that seems to be very popular across the Pond these days.  I think I heard it in almost every country I visited and it's a song I posted recently during the cold cold days of this winter.  Back then I put it up because it reminded me of summer.  Now that we're getting there, ..

Have an awesome Thursday!
