I first became aware of fiery Brit dance singer Katy B sometime in 2014, during the period of her Little Red album.  The song was Aaliyah, and I heard it over the speakers in a store in Atlantic City, and I immediately Shazammed it.  The hypnotic beats and equally mesmerizing vocals got me hooked and I've been a big fan ever since.  Check out a live performance of the song...

I am very excited about Brit dance artist Katy B's newest album, Honey, which is due to be released in late April.  I first discovered Katy back about two years ago during the height of her last album, Little Red,  To me, she's a perfect dance artist, with a low, sultry voice and deep, bass-y beats.  I loved almost every song on Red, and from the sounds of things on Calm Down, I'm gonna love Honey just as much...

I've loved the music of Katy B ever since I first heard her.  Sista's got a deep, soulful voice and the pulsating rhythms of virtually all of her tracks give them a late night house feel like no other.  Here's my favorite of her songs, one with a simple name, but one that's beautiful lyrically and infectious musically.  Check out Katy B's Everything and have a great Sunday!
