Song of the Day - Same Ol' Mistakes - Rihanna

Here's a very chill song off of Rihanna's latest, Anti.  I tell ya, I haven't really loved the album too much since its release, but a few of the songs have grown on me, like this one.  The tune is pretty complex and melancholy and perfect for some background music whilst having guests...one of those songs that'll unexpectedly work its way into your brain.  Check out Same Ol' Mistakes...

Song of the Day - Love on the Brain - Rihanna

Rihanna's newest album, Anti, has been out now for several months already and I can count on one hand the number of times I've listened to it.  Simply put, it is by far my least favorite album so far from the Barbadian songstress.  However, when I saw her perform this song on the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday night, I remembered that there was one song from the record that I liked and this was it.  Love On the Brain sounds completely like a vintage 50's/60's torch song, and I can picture teenagers slow dancing to it at a sock hop somewhere.  Yes, Anti, the album, is surely an appropriate title for this album, and this type of tune is totally anti-Rihanna, but it works.  Check it out...

Song of the Day - Work - Rihanna, featuring Drake

On Friday, Rihanna surprisingly dropped a whole new album without much pre-warning.  The record, her eighth, is called Anti, and from preliminary personal listenings and reviews, it's somewhat of a departure for the 27 year-old singer.  The first single and most talked about song from Anti is her newest collaboration with R&B singer/rapper Drake. The tune is called Work and it's pretty darned good.  It was radio's most-played song on its first day of release and for good reason.  Check it out...

*Note: All of the clips available on YouTube as of this moment feature the audio version of the song without Drake's vocals.  The song is pretty cool either way and once an authentic vid of the duet comes out, we'll share it here.
