Greetings from Albany, New York. I am currently chaperoning a group of Hispanic students from Long Island who are attending the Annual Puerto Rican/Hispanic Youth Leadership Institute, a wonderful program founded by Angelo De Toro, New York State's first Latino representative in New York State government. Every year, Hispanic students from all over New York get together for a weekend of leadership activities designed to help these kids learn to be leaders of tomorrow. The theme of this year's conference is social activism through art and the kids did an awesome job last night on their own artistic expressions, which brings me to Shakira's Waka Waka. Some of the performances that the students wrote and performed reminded me of this song and video. Check out Waka Waka...
