Another turning point,
a fork stuck in the road
Time grabs you by the wrist,
directs you where to go
So make the best of this test and don't ask why
It's not a question, but a lesson learned in time
As we mourn for a third day the 50 lives tragically and senselessly lost on Sunday, I'd like to dedicate this classic tune to whatever time these pour souls had on this Earth. The incident is yet another sobering reminder that life is precious, and we need to make the most of how much or how little we have. Many of those killed were babes. Twenty and thirty-somethings who had lives to live.
but in the end it's right
I hope you had the time of your life
So take the photographs and still-frames in your mind
Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time
Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial
For what it's worth, it was worth all the while
Vigils were held in places all over the world in solidarity to those who were massacred. That's the wonderful part of the human spirit, the compassion and the brotherhood of all...gay, straight, black, white, whatever. We all have a right to live our lives how we choose to, and with whatever cards we've been dealt, and no one should ever have the right to play God and take that away from us.
It's something unpredictable,
but in the end it's right
I hope you had the time of your life
but in the end it's right
I hope you had the time of your life
It's so difficult to look at these pictures without crying. Now that all of the victims have been identified, we now know a little bit about each and every one of them and it makes it all that much sadder. I only hope that these 50 souls did have the time of their lives while they were here and that they are somewhere out there feeling all of our love.
It's something unpredictable,
but in the end it's right
I hope you had the time of your life
