New Music Fridays, February 9th, 2018 - Five Hot New Tracks

Wow, compared to last week's offerings, the songs I bookmarked this week were slim pickings.  But that doesn't mean there isn't anything to get excited about.  On the contrary, check out five great new music tracks from this week...

Nuh Ready Nuh Ready - Calvin Harris, featuring PARTYNEXTDOOR

Superstar Scottish deejay/producer Calvin Harris resurfaces after a long time this week with a funky, island jam featuring the vocals of Canadian artist PARTYNEXTDOOR.  It didn't take me too long to get this bass-heavy jam into my head.  Check out Nuh Ready Nuh Ready...

High - Whethan, Dua Lipa

From the new Fifty Shades Freed Soundtrack comes this sultry sizzler from Dua Lipa and Chicago-based producer Whethan.  Ooh, this one's smokin'!  Check it out...

Friends - Marshmello. Anne Marie

EDM producer Marshmello teams up with Brit songstress Anne-Marie on this hard-driving pop tune.  The song is a bit less dancey and more on the pop side than what we're used to from Marshmello, but Anne-Marie's strong vocals help make this a pretty catchy track.  Check out Friends...

The Wave - R3HAB, Lia Marie Johnson

Dutch deejay/producer known as R3HAB is out with his latest offering, a really nice tune.  Billboard's Kat Bein describes The Wave way better than I could:

The Wave comes on smooth, but underneath its groovy melodies is a hidden undertow of catchy goodness. Lia Marie Johnson has a voice that drips with depth and beauty. She breathes like smoke over the deep blue sound, and before you know it, you're drawn in head-to-toe, jerkin' your shoulders to the suddenly plunky synths.

Check out The Wave...

The Weight Is Gone - Albin Lee Meldau

Albin Lee Meldau is a singer from Gothenburg, Sweden and he's currently working on a new solo album due out this summer.  His new song, The Weight Is Gone, is an immediately likable piece of soulful joy, with great vocals and a nice, percussive, head bopping backbeat.  Check out The Weight Is Gone...
