I want you to know, that I'm happy for you
I wish nothing but, the best for you both
Any look at the 90's would not be complete without the inclusion of one Canadian artist named Alanis Morissette, who burst open brand new doors back in 1995 with a little ditty of a record called Jagged Little Pill. One of the best all around albums of the decade, this 13 song set garnered the singer five of nine Grammy Awards, including Record of the Year, and made Rolling Stone's list of the top 500 albums of all time, coming in at #327. The album, and especially this lead single, was a huge departure for Morissette, who had put out two pop/dance records in Canada previously. More on the grungier, rockier side, and full of feminine power and angst, the song, and the album, are ones for the ages. Check out the classic You Oughta Know...
