Song of the Day - Magnets - Disclosure, featuring Lorde

British dance duo Disclosure has returned to the music scene with what my friend Demetrius calls one of the best dance-pop albums of the year.  The new album, Caracal, features fantastical collaborations with such artists as The Weekend, Sam Smith, LION BABE, Miguel and former breakout New Zealander Lorde.  This is one of my favorite tracks off the album, so click play below and check it out...

Song of the Day - Love Me Again - John Newman

Today's song may not be new, it was released in May 2013, but it is new to me.  I think I Shazamed it in the car one day recently and just downloaded it the other day.  I loved it immediately.  It's very rockish and anthemic and with a lot of soul thrown in to boot!  Check out Love Me Again...

Song of the Day - Sugar - Robin Shulz, featuring Francesco Yates

Got me tripping higher than the ceiling
Ooh, baby it's the ultimate feeling
You got me lifted feeling so gifted
Sugar how you get so fly

Well I finally downloaded some new music the other night, so for the foreseeable future I hope to be bringing you some fresh stuff to learn and to love.  I first started digging Robin Shulz a little over a year ago when his mix of Lilly Wood and The Prick's Prayer in C had me mesmerized for months.  I soon bought his Prayer album and was loving it!  So of course when I saw he's got a new one, I hit that download button without even listening.  My instincts are usually right when it comes to music, and I know a good deejay/producer when I hear one.  Here's the title cut to Robin's newest, Sugar...kinda retro funky...loving it!

Song of the Day - Wonder - Naughty Boy, feat. Emeli Sandé

Feeling a bit melancholy today, and so here's a mystical, inspirational track that always picks me up a bit.  Enjoy and Happy Sunday!

A Final Wedding Song of the Day - Marry You - Glee Cast

Well today is the final wedding of the month for me, and it's one I've been looking forward to for a long time.  In just a few short hours my friends Eric and Rick will finally be tying the knot after what has seemed like such a long, long wait.  These two gentlemen are among the nicest and most genuine people I know and they fit together so perfectly.  Needless to say, I couldn't be happier for them.  So congratulations my Eric and Rick!  May today be the beginning of yet another wonderful chapter of your lives together.

Flashback Friday Song of the Day - Midnight - Yaz

Midnight, it's raining outside yeah
He must be soaking wet
Everyone, is sleeping tight
God knows I've tried my best, but...

Darling you know it looks bad
Just lost the best thing that I ever had, well
Still I don't know why I did him wrong, yeah
It's too late now he's gone to stay

I said baby, Oh no
Can't leave me now
So think about me please
Cause I love you
And I need you
And I should've thought of that,
Before I did you wrong

Back in 1992, a British synth-pop duo by the name of Yaz, or Yazoo (look it up!), created an album that was full of great, great tunes.  Two of them were big pop-dance hits, Situation and Don't Go, but the rest of Upstairs At Eric's was just as good, especially the heart-rending Midnight.

Before there was Adele, there was Alison Moyet, another big-voiced Brit who could have been so much bigger than she ever was, but somehow she faded into obscurity.  Her voice and this song...the desperation, the lyrics...a true masterpiece of its time.  So if you've never heard Midnight before, please check it out...

Song of the Day - Satellites - September

Even an angel can end up falling
Don't you cry because you're crawling
Start again, it's a beautiful morning
For satellites

Here's an old favorite song of mine.  It's by Swedish recording artist September and it was pretty hot around dance music circles when it came out in 2005.  It popped out of my All Time Favorite playlist of mine on my iPod and I just knew I wanted to post it.  Check it out and enjoy!

Song of the Day - Believe - Cher

Oh it's been a long time since I've posted anything by Cher, but I've still got plenty of songs still stuck in my head from J.C. and Ed's wedding the other night.  I remember thoroughly enjoying dancing to this one.  Have a great Tuesday!

Song of the Day - Blue Monday - New Order

Oh, it was a hot time at the wedding of friends J.C. and Ed yesterday.  The deejay was on all night long and most everyone there danced their butts of for most of the party.  One segment he did was an 80's new wavey mix, which included this classic, and since it's Monday...

A Wedding Song of the Day - Latch - Disclosure

You lift my heart up
When the rest of me is down
You, you enchant me, even when you're not around
If there are boundaries, I will try to knock them down
I'm latching on babe
Now I know what I have found

I feel we're close enough
I wanna lock in your love
I think we're close enough
Could I lock in your love, baby?

Now I got you in my space
I won't let go of you
Got you shackled in my embrace
I'm latching on to you

Today is the second of three weddings in three weeks for me, and what a beautiful day it's going to be!  J.C. and Ed have been preparing for this day for quite some time and I am highly anticipating lots of love, good times and nothing but happiness for the two of them and all of their guests.  So here's to J.C. and Ed.  May your lives be filled with happiness, love, and respect for one another from this day forward and may your love forever be locked into that embrace. Congratulations!

Five Suggestions That Would Have Made "Rebel Heart" a Better Show

It's hard to believe that it's been three days since Madonna already.  This is the first time since then that I've had any time to write about it, so..

A lot of my fellow Madonna fans aren't going to like some of the things I'm going to say here, but I feel I must.  From the initial reviews and the reactions of my friends who were at the show, it seems I am in a tiny minority when it comes to what I thought of the Rebel Heart Tour.  Perhaps it's because I love her so much I may be overly critical, and I've seen her often enough that maybe I'm just used to something different, but I didn't see the show as all that great.

That's not to say that I didn't enjoy it.  On the contrary, I was up and dancing and having a good time all night long.  Any Madonna concert is not just any old concert.  Her shows, starting with the Blonde Ambition Tour way back when, have been downright legendary and an unparalleled experience in live entertainment.  That being said, the Rebel Heart Tour, to me, wasn't as legendary as, say the Reinvention Tour or even the MDNA show.

Before I even discuss the show,, check out the setlist, as arranged in four separate acts:

Act One: Joan of Arc / Samurai

1. “Iconic”
2. “Bitch I’m Madonna”
3. “Burning Up”
4. “Holy Water”
5. “Vogue”
6. “Devil Pray”

Act Two: Rockabilly / Tokyo

7. “Body Shop”
8. “True Blue”
9. “Ghosttown”
A10. “HeartBreak City” / “Love Don’t Live Here Anymore”
11. “Like A Virgin”

Act Three: Latin / Gypsy

12. “SEX” contains excerpts from “Justify My Love”
13. “Living For Love”
14. “La Isla Bonita”
15. “Deeper and Deeper”
16. “Music (Get Stupid)”
17. “La Vie En Rose”

Act Four: Party / Flapper

18. “Candy Shop”
19. “Who’s That Girl”
20. “Rebel Heart”
21. “Illuminati”
22. “Material Girl”
23. “Unapologetic Bitch”
24. “Holiday”

Pretty cool, right?  You know, from the looks of the songs and from the reviews I've seen so far, this tour seems like it might be a greatest hits tour.  She's performing a  lot of songs she hasn't done in a long time, and the nostalgic tone she's taken on stage so far would seem to suggest that as well.  Well, the setlist would seem to please those fans of her earlier work, but for those of us who've followed her all along, more recent stuff was sorely missing.  That was just one of the beefs I have with the show.

Here are five suggestions that would have made me happier with the Rebel Heart show.  Perhaps if these elements were present I'd have been on StubHub this afternoon now trying for tickets to tonight's show at Barclay Center in Brooklyn...

1 - A Stronger Opening

Madonna opened the show with Iconic, from the Rebel Heart album.  One of the key elements of any Madonna tour is drama, especially in the opening, and I thought this one was a poor choice in that department, especially in comparison to the Girl Gone Wild opener at MDNA.  Iconic is not my favorite tune off the album.  It probably will never reach single status either.  Living For Love, the upbeat debut single, would've made a much better choice to open the show.  On a side note, Bitch I'm Madonna was done way too early in the show.  Being that it's her latest single, and it's a lot of fun, perhaps it would've been better done right before Holiday at the end.

2 - What Happened to the Last 15 Years?

With the exception of Candy Shop and of course the current album, the most recent song she did was 2000's Music and before that 1992's Deeper and Deeper.  In this fan's opinion, I would much rather have seen performances of maybe Ray of Light, Human Nature, Celebration or Revolver, Hung Up, or perhaps a ditty from the last album.  Turn Up the Radio would've been cool!  Of the older stuff, True Blue was refreshing, Burning Up rocked, and Material Girl was fun, too!   I could've done without La Isla Bonita and yet another subpar version of Like a Virgin (though this one was much better than the last time!).   I know Madge's catalog is deep and wide, and I am sure it must be difficult to narrow things down, but to forget all about three of the last four albums.  Eh!

3 - No Showstoppers

I remember once upon a time, I saw the Confessions Tour in Miami with my nephew and his young Brazilian wife.  Aricalea had never seen a concert before and I took great pleasure in watching her face light up as she watched the spectacle that was that show.  Almost every Madonna concert has numbers where the entire audience is up on its feet, in awe at the happenings on stage. Unfortunately, to me none of the numbers in this show had that something special.

The closest thing that came to a showstopper was during Illuminati, which was really an interlude played over the speakers as the icon went backstage for a change of costume.  As the lights went up, several flexible poles were fixed on the stage, each with a different dancer standing atop.  The choreographed number was pretty darned cool and one of my favorite parts of the entire show...and Madonna wasn't even on stage!

4 - No Ghosttown?

I said in my review of Ghosttown that it was one of the biggest power ballads Madonna ever performed, as big as Live to Tell or Rain.  Though it was on the setlist, she skipped that one on Wednesday.

5 - Encore Encore

The last time Madge played the Garden, I had complained that she didn't even hit the stage until around 11 p.m.  This go around was much better, as the festivities began shortly around 9, a much more conducive hour, especially for a weeknight.  This night, however, it also seemed that the concert was made ever so much shorter as there was absolutely no build-up between the finish, Unapologetic Bitch (which to me was sort of anti-climactic, even when she brought out opening act Amy Shumer to the stage and officially dubbed her a member of Madge's gang), and the encore, Holiday.  It seemed that within a minute of finishing the former, the singer returned to the stage with her very first big single, an appropriate finish, but the whole thing was way too abrupt.

So there, I think I do have some legitimate beefs with the Rebel Heart Tour, and this particular stop at MSG.  If any of you die-hard Madonna fans take offense to any of my suggestions, please don't.  I've been following Madonna since day one...her songs are a huge part of the soundtrack of my life since I was a teen.  It may not sound like it, but I did have an awesome time the other night.  I think I just could've had an even better one...

Song of the Day - Not Fair - Lily Allen

We had a Lily Allen listening party, oddly enough, on the way home from the Madonna concert the other night. Love, love, love this one!

It's not fair and I think you're really mean
I think you're really mean
I think you're really mean
Oh, you're supposed to care,
but you never make me scream
You never make me scream...

Flashback Friday Song of the Day - Upside Down - Diana Ross

The other night, after the Madonna concert, my friends and I got into a discussion about Diana Ross and Beyoncé.  Two of my buddies are younger, and aren't familiar with Diana, my very first, and probably the original, diva of the modern era.  There is no doubt that the two singers carry many similarities between them: both started their careers in very successful girl groups and both left said groups to go on to highly successful solo artists,  Both ladies were/are no doubt glamorous and both are divas.

That being said, of course Diana and Beyoncé come from entirely different eras, and so with progress that way it's been in music all around (charts, means of distribution, technology, etc.), it's kind of hard to make a true comparison, though it would be a good topic for a future post.  Having followed Diana for years, listening and dancing to her music, and seeing her perform several times, my personal opinion is that Lady Di has had the more successful career and to me is the true queen diva.  It is difficult to calculate, but from my quick research this morning, Diana's got so called Queen Bey beat by about 30 tunes (combined group and solo), give or take a couple.

Regardless, both ladies are legends of their own time, and I do enjoy the music of each.  Today is Flashback Friday, so I'm going to share the first Diana record I really got into.  Upside Down was the lead single off of Di's 1980 diana album and hit the top ten in no less than 15 countries around the world.  It came right towards the end of the disco era and the song singlehandedly influenced me to switch my musical tastes from rock music to dance music.  Oh, the memories...

Song of the Day - Deeper and Deeper (Rebel Heart Tour) - Madonna

One of the best numbers of the Rebel Heart Show at Madison Square Garden last night was her rendition of this favorite track off Madonna's 1992 Erotica album.  One of the biggest questions surrounding any new Madonna tour is how she will perform the oldies on her set-list. Oftentimes, she reincarnates old ditties into whole new songs, and sometimes the finished product can be totally unrecognizable,  other than the words (Just Google Like a Virgin on the MDNA Tour!) .  For this one, she pretty much stuck to the original and it was pure fun!  Check out Deeper and Deeper...

Song of the Day - Girl Gone Wild (MDNA Tour Opening) - Madonna

Tonight is the night!  Madonna.  Madison Square Garden, NYC.  The Rebel Heart Tour.  Excited!  If you've ever seen a Madonna show before, then you know how the excitement builds and builds like as the time draws nearer and nearer to showtime.  A Madonna concert is like no other, and from the reviews of this show so far, this one's gonna be right up there with the rest and the best of them.  If you've never seen a Madonna show before, well then check out the opening number to her last, the M.D.N.A. Tour.  This opener was especially dramatic and I remember getting chills when I saw it live.  Ah, memories...

Song of the Day - Runaway - Janet Jackson

I spent a good part of yesterday with my friend Sonny, who is a big Janet fan. Since we were in the car for awhile, and since we were talking about Janet's new album and tour (which we're both going to!), I decided to put on Miss Janet.  Admittedly, I have not listened to her in a very, very long time. Even more recently I kinda sorta dissed her new song and video, No Sleep (It is growing on me!).

Well, I spent a lot of time in the car even after Sonny and I parted ways and I spent the time listening to songs and snippets from her entire catalog and I lived through some pretty decent memories, too! Aw, singing along to songs like Nasty, Black Cat, Someone to Call My Lover, and all the others was pure joy!  But this one, oh this one...Runaway is one of my favorite Janet happy tunes.  Janet has always had many different styles, down n dirty, sexy, soft, R&B, jazz, rock, but these types of pure sunshine in a song are amongst my favorite (Together Again, All for You, etc.).

In this one, recorded especially for her 1995 Design of a Decade set (It was originally supposed to be recorded with brother Michael, but he preferred to do Scream instead!), Janet takes us on a relaxing, exotic, and exhilarating trip around the world.  Awesomeness!

Song of the Day - Roses - The Chainsmokers

I have to say I do not know anything about today's artist, The Chainsmokers, but I do know I love the sweet vocals, and the slow, deliberate keyboards.  It might take a couple of listens to get it, but once you do, it's all good!  Check out Roses...

Song of the Day - Get Dirty - Xenia Ghali, featuring Wyclef Jean

In the middle of Georgia watch her go!

Wyclef Jean has returned for a couple of projects this year after a long hiatus from music, and I am loving it. First, the former Fugee star collaborated with Avicii on the tender Divine Sorrow and now with Greek born deejay, songwriter, producer and instrumentalist Xenia Ghali on this little funky jam. Love the vocals, love the bass, love the tune!  Check out Get Dirty...

A Wedding Song of the Day - La Vie En Rose - Grace Jones

Today is a very special day.  Today is the day that one of my very best friends finally gets to take a walk down that aisle to wed the man of her dreams and I couldn't be happier for her.  Laura Kim and I first met way back in 2003 when we were both hired by the same school district and from the moment we met, we were fast friends who have only grown closer over the years.

Over the past 12 years or so, LK and I have been through a lot together, seeing one another go through relationship triumphs and relationship woes and through it all we've always been there for one another.  For past several years, up until a little over a year ago, the two of us had been commiseratingly single until one day last spring when she met Robert.

Now of course when a good friend meets someone new there's always a little skepticism about the new guy, and though I'd heard a lot about Robert over the next several months, I didn't get the chance to meet him until their engagement party this past spring.  At first, I simply thought he was a really nice guy...super nice, in fact, and I left that party feeling happy for my friend.  In the weeks and months since, I've had several opportunities to hang with Robert and I have to say that I genuinely like him even more and couldn't be happier for the two of them.

So the day has finally come and I am excited for my friend and her new hubby to be, and it wasn't difficult choosing a song to dedicate to them on their special day.  La Vie En Rose is a beautiful love song, made more beautiful that it is sung in French.  Madonna is actually performing it as a part of her setlist on the Rebel Heart Tour and she recently called it one of the best love songs ever written. I know the song from the version I am posting today, one that was originally performed by Grace Jones in the 70's.  Not only is the composition of the words beautiful, the music is a soothing, pulsating melody that calls to mind two lovers engaged in a synchronous tango of love.  Here's to Laura Kim and Robert...

Song of the Day - Rebel Heart - Madonna

I live my life like a masochist
Hearing my father say "told you so, told you so"

Why can't you be like the other girls
I said, oh no, that's not me
And I don't think that it'll ever be

Thought I belonged to a different tribe
Walking alone, never satisfied, satisfied
Tried to fit in, but it wasn't me
I said, oh no, I want it more
That's not what I'm looking for

Madonna Mania has begun once again!  After what has seemed like eons since the first tracks from Rebel Heart came out, Madonna fans who have been waiting patiently for the start of the tour, will finally get their chance to check out the icon's newest show.  Last night the Rebel Heart Tour officially opened in Montreal, and though there's been little reported about it as of the time of this writing, I am sure it was spectacular!  Madonna shows always are!  I will get the chance to see it for myself in just six short days at Madison Square Garden in New York and I can't wait.

So I took the road-less traveled by
And I barely made it out alive
Through the darkness somehow I survived
Tough love, I knew it from the start
Deep down in the depth of my rebel heart

BreatheHeavy posted a possible setlist just a couple of days ago and it looks like Madge'll be dipping into the old, sprinkled in with the new on this go around, reviving such classics as Dress You Up, La Isla Bonita, Music, Holiday and more!  For the entire published setlist, click here.  In the meantime back to our Song of the Day...

I’ve spent some time as a narcissist
Hearing the others say “Look at you, look at you!”
Trying to be so provocative
I said “Oh yeah, that was me!”
All of the things I did, just to be seen

The title track to Rebel Heart exemplifies why Madonna was named by Rolling Stone as one of the top 100 songwriters of all time.   It's an autobiographical look at the singer's life, describing the very person I and so many others have been awed by over these past 30+ years, and it's a pretty damned good song, to boot!  The acoustic version, if you can find it, is simply da bomb!  Check out Rebel Heart...

Outgrown my past and I've shed my skin
Letting it go and I'll start again, start again
Never look back, it's a waste of time
I said, 'Oh yeah, this is me
And I'm right here where I wanna be'
I said, 'Hell yeah, this is me
Right where I'm supposed to be'

Song of the Day - Walk of Shame - P!nk

atrl

Had yesterday not been the first day of school I would have posted a P!nk song then, for yesterday was her 36th birthday.  Here's a rarely posted video I made of one of the funner tunes on The Truth About Love...not as good as the True Love video, but it was fun to make nonetheless.  Happy Belated Ms. P!nk!

Back to School Song of the Day - Unwritten - Natasha Bedingfield

I am unwritten, can't read my mind, I'm undefined
I'm just beginning, the pen's in my hand, ending unplanned

Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find

This song has become somewhat of a tradition for me on the first day of school.  It's one of my favorite tunes for a lot of reasons, the best of which is that it is a call for a fresh start, one in which you live your life with arms wide open, feel the rain on your skin and release your inhibitions.  it's a great theme for a new school year, or just about any other time in one's life when they would like to begin anew and live a life full of hope, love and possibility.

That picture above is from a few years back, after a teacher conference day in which our superintendent asked teachers to recognize some of their colleagues for their hard work and dedication to their profession.  Out of three teachers who received the honor, I was the only one of whom  not one, but three fellow teachers were inspired to nominate.  It was one of the proudest moments of my teaching career and one which I must keep in mind as I move on into this one, potentially one of the most difficult of school years for me, personally.

New York State has changed the laws concerning the education of English Language Learners in a big way, and though everyone is being affected by it, the consequences for me have turned out to be very difficult.  The law was at first applauded by ESL teachers everywhere, as our kids are finally getting some attention that has been badly missing for years and years.  However, I am sure I am not the only one who will begin to suffer for it as my workload has increased greatly, forcing me to squeeze even more out of my school day and on into my, um, free time.

Until this year I have always looked forward to the first day of school.  I get to see my kids again, craziness and all.  But for the very first time in my now 13-year teaching career, I am also dreading it. I am actually cross-posting this one on both John's Music World and John's World as this one's as much of a memoir as it is a Song of the Day.

As goes with my life, I look for inspiration in music to get me through the tough times, and today's song will be very meaningful for me in getting through the day and the year.  For right now, I am going to let the sun illuminate the words that I cannot find and begin my book not with despair, but with hope.  Fingers crossed!

Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten

Oh, oh, oh

I break tradition, sometimes my tries, are outside the lines
We've been conditioned to not make mistakes, but I can't live that way

Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find

Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins

Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten

Staring at the blank page before you
Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find

Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
Release your inhibitions
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins

Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten
The rest is still unwritten
The rest is still unwritten

Summer Jams Song of the Day - End of Time - Beyoncé

Come take my hand, I won't let you go
I'll be your friend, I will love you so deeply
I will be the one, to kiss you at night
I will love you till the end of time...

Labor Day.  The unofficial last day of summer and the last day for John's World Summer Jams.  I hope you've all had a great summer and have enjoyed at least some of the great summer jams I've posted for the past couple of months.  This one final jam was played twice yesterday on a very busy dance floor at Cherry's yesterday.  It's one of my favorite Beyoncé tunes and this flash mob video is pretty fun to watch, too!  Enjoy and have a great Labor Day...

Summer Jams Song of the Day - Primitive - Richard Vission Luciana

Happy Sunday-of-Labor-Day-Weekend, one of the last big-ass party days of the summer.  I'll be heading over to Fire Island later for the last time this year and it's going to be filled with party people on such a beautiful day.  I am so hoping for some great dance music like today's song to help get things jumping.  Canadian producer Richard Vission's Primitive is a tribal/house anthem that's so thumping, I know it would fill dance floors if it were played, but that's highly unlikely considering the dull pop they play over there.  Lucky for you out there, you can hear it right here on John's Music World.  Oh, how I miss being a deejay!

Drop, drop, let the kitty out the bag...

Summer Jams Song of the Day - Straight Into the Fire - Zedd

Take your dark days and send them to the sun
And carry on, carry on
To every lover who ever did you wrong
Move along, move along

To every dream that drowned this dream
And made you small inside
Take your dark days and send them to the sun
And carry on

Today's song is one of my favorite tunes off of Zedd's latest album, True Colors.  Not only are the lyrics pretty sweet, the vocals, by singer-songwriter Julia Michaels are very reminiscent of one Ms. Elie Goulding, who I actually thought was singing the first couple of times I listened to it.  The whole sound of the song is pretty uplifting, but it's also pretty danceable, too!  Great stuff!  Check out Straight Into the Fire...

Flashback Friday Song of the Day - I'm Gonna Get You - Bizarre, Inc.

Yo' D.J. pump this party!

There are certain dance songs from over the years that, to me, are just classic feel-good jams that never lose their appeal.  Songs like Ida Corr's Let Me Think About It, Anastacia;s I'm Outta Love, Whitney's It's Not Right, But It's Okay, and this one from one hit wonder Bizarre, Inc. and their 1992 dance smash I'm Gonna Get You.  Pure joy!  Happy Friday!

Summer Jams Song of the Day - Bad Romance - Lady Gaga

I want your love
And I want your revenge
You and me can write a bad romance

Happy Hump Day folks!  Today we're taking you back to old school Lady Gaga and one of the songs that blasted her out into the stratosphere.  Oh, and it's a perfect summer jam, too!

Summer Jams Song of the day - Danza Kuduro - Don Omar, featuring Lucenzo

Summer is winding down, but we are still heating it up with our first Latin dance jam of it all. Loosely based, this one talks about shakin' ya hips, but you don't have to know what they're saying to enjoy this one...
